"Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest of faith."

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)

"The best of you is one who is best towards his family. As for me, I am best amongst you towards my family"

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) "never beat anyone with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant."

Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1082

"And do not retain them (i.e. women) in wedlock against their will in order to hurt them. He who does such a thing indeed sins against himself. And do not take the signs of God lightly..."

The Holy Quran, Chapter The Cow, Verse 231

Are You Abusing?

Not all people are abusive. How do you measure up?

Abuse Is:

  • Shouting and cursing
  • Hitting, slapping and/or pushing
  • Making threats of any kind
  • Jealously and suspicion
  • Keeping someone away from family and friends
  • Throwing things around the house
Domestic violence is a crime.
  • It destroys relationships and families.
  • It passes from generation to generation.
  • It doesn’t have to be this way.
